Household responsibilities when PT?

I’ve recently found out my 0.6 PT request had been accepted (yey!) this will be from September. Just wondering how other people work out ‘household responsibilities’ with their DP (FT). We have a DD who is a toddler. How do you split the responsibilities? If you are PT do you do all housework? Or a higher percentage? What about childcare after their working hours? Do you split things like bath time etc 50:50 at that time? We both work FT atm and split everything down the middle which works well and avoids arguments!

Good question! I have mainly worked 0.6 since having children and have tended to do mostly all of the housework. Childcare tends to be fairly evenly split, although I'm probably the primary carer.

You will still work a fair bit as a 0.6 teacher. I've found the main benefit is having weekends free. Otherwise being 0.6 makes teaching into a normal full time job! Try to keep your fair split (although maybe choose one thing you enjoy doing and do that-I've tended to cook a lot as I'm home first).
