A bit specific - Working for the Field Studies Council

A job has come up with my local field studies council. I am a geography teacher, I think I’m well qualified to apply for it and I love fieldwork. My previous interactions with the FSC have been positive (though no experience with this particular branch). For some reason that I can’t put my finger on, I’m holding back from applying. I’m currently doing a part time maternity cover that is about to finish, so I need to look for a new job. I think this job would be full time. I also have two young children and need to be fairly present for them as they are in nursery and reception.
I suppose my question is has anyone on here worked for the FSC before? Or currently? Are they good employers? Any experience you can share with me? Thank you!

Can’t specifically help but wanted to say they operate as ‘real family holidays’ during holidays so you would need to look at whether the contract is like a teaching one or 52 weeks. Might make a difference to whether you want to apply or not?

I think I would like it-go for it-you don’t have to take it further. Never regret the things you do!
