Observations when unwell

We have learning walks Wed/Thur/Fri this week and will be seen twice.

Since Sunday, I have felt rotten with a cold - feel really unwell with it and can't sleep properly. I'm on a course today so no teaching to do.

However, obviously from tomorrow I could be seen as part of learning walks. We don't know which lessons and so I can't plan any 'easier' lessons to get through.

WIBU to tell HoD in the morning that I feel ill (they know I am full of a cold) and that I will obviously do my best but to not expect miracles?

Observations this close to Christmas should be banned!

I don't tend to plan anything different from normal for learning walks as we have them all the time and without warning. I'd just get on with your normal day to day teaching and not worry about it. I'm sure your department will already be aware that you're feeling under the weather. Hope you feel better soon, hang on in there for Christmas Smile
