Just looking for advice of where to find teaching jobs. I completed my secondary pgce, took a year off (maternity) and now wanting to look for a job. Tes is bringing up very few jobs and recruitment sites (total jobs, indeed etc) tend to be a lot of temp/agency positions. Iv gone direct to a few school websites but again, nothing coming up for my subject. I know it's not the best time of year to be searching but when is a good time to look?
Thanks!

Try #teachingvacancyuk on twitter.

Most schools can't afford TES?

Is there a facebook group linked with your subject?

If you also know where you want to work the council should have a jobs section - although not sure if academies will advertise on there

Thanks noblegiraffe, I'll give that a look!

I'll have a look Tw1nsetAndPearls I'd never thought to do that! And there are a load of academics where I live and they do tend to just advertise on their own sites, that's not too bad if they are large mats but it's a lot of leg work!

Thanks ajw88 I had originally planned to go back in September but money is getting tight so thinking about going back in the summer term.

Thanks everyone Grin
