Cross post, Midnite!
Yes, stuff is just stuff. Bits and bobs are nice, but words last longer.

Thank you. Apologies for all my previous typos, (Especially on a teachers thread Blush ) my eyes haven't woken up yet! X

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 09/12/2018 07:54

Four days to go....

CaptainBrickbeard · 09/12/2018 07:55

Cards are without question the best thing I have ever got as a teacher. It’s so lovely when students or parents say that you have made a difference.

I finish on the 19th and mocks are in January so haven’t yet cast their shadow over me. I’m so glad the end of the autumn term is in sight!

toomanyeastereggsurghh · 09/12/2018 08:03

We only have 4 teaching days left and I’m on my knees. Way behind in admin, pile of marking to get done by tomorrow, house is a complete tip and the washing mountain keeps growing. Have barely begun to think about organising Xmas. I don’t envy any of you who still have more than a week to go. Lots of illness going around as well so those of us still well have had to do loads of cover and extra work.

What I struggle with most is trying to stay on top of all my kids’ end of term stuff, making costumes, bringing in teacher present money, keeping up with which day they have Xmas jumper day and nativity rehearsals etc. If I get one more stroppy chasing message from one of the bloody pta stay at home mums, who clearly have got nothing better to do, than I’m going to lose it Angry

I have two more weeks, I could cry I’m so tired! Got a mocksted as well later this week, parents evening g too and not allowed to do anything fun either until last day (21st!!)

BigcatLittlecat · 10/12/2018 06:48

2 weeks to go and it seems like a mountain I can't climb! Trying to keep it steady and keep the routine but then I'm loosing all my chairs this afternoon for the foundation phase concert! My class do not cope with change very well!
Wish me luck I'll see you friday!

Mistressiggi · 10/12/2018 06:52

Was convinced it was a Sunday when I woke today. Can hardly keep eyes open. Sad
It’s the cumulative affect that gets you I think, I think I’ve just been tired all term but had reserves to deal with it! Sitting up late shopping online for dc doesn’t help

goldopals · 10/12/2018 06:53

One teaching day left! Aussie here

Acopyofacopy · 10/12/2018 07:00

10 more days Sad
I’m contemplating just lying on the floor pretending to be dead.

Mistressiggi · 10/12/2018 07:05

Brew to all.
We’ve two sets of reports before the end.

Teacherlikemisstrunchball · 10/12/2018 07:05

Last week was horrendous - was running lots of school events plus assessment marking/mock marking/reports/data drops etc.

Have woken up this morning and am a bit like ‘what do I need to do today?!’ Finish on Friday...

KeiTeNgeNge · 10/12/2018 07:23

Ten days left here and it’s starting to wind down. Kids are all a little tired but the good weather and access to school pool is keeping them sane(small mercies)

PumpkinPie2016 · 10/12/2018 18:55

9 days after today as we finish on 21st. Normal lessons right up to the last day in our school. Observations and work scrutiny this week as well.

My cold has returned with a vengence and I feel absolutely awful. Went in today and I am on a course tomorrow but literally don't know how I will cope on Wed if I still feel.like this. I am trying all the usual cold remedies but feel worse now than I did this morning Sad

The 21st can't come soon enough!

ballsdeep · 10/12/2018 21:07

It's a nightmare isn't it? Lots and lots of school events from now until the 21st, at least one per. Day?! Argh bring on the gin
