Guilt for taking time off

I'm in my first term at a new school. 9 school days left until end of term. I was sent home early on Friday afternoon unwell and really don't feel good yet (in pain) but the guilt of not going in is eating away at me. "Teacher guilt" is horrible and I'm worried how it'll affect my probationary period. Does anyone know?

No idea how it'll affect your probationary period but you're clearly not well enough to go in.

You were sent home on Friday, they know you're not faking. Call in and go back to bed. They'll cope without you.

I should add that I'm in my 7th year of teaching just a new school - I'm not an Nqt.
