This is about children going part time in their reception year, have any reception teachers ever come across this? What impact did it have on you as a school/as a teacher/on the class/on the child? Many thanks.

My son was part time in school in reception so maybe not what you’re looking for. It was school enforced as he has aspergers. It didn’t work and singled him out.

I’ve came across it for a variety of reasons. One child had a physical disability and found school absolutely exhausting. Others have had more sensory needs. For these children it’s generally worked well.
