Head doesn't like me

NC in case any of my colleagues is on here.

I went to work at another school for 2 months as a mentor. I loved it and would love to work there. I'm now back at my usual school and pretty miserable.

I made good relationships with the staff at the other school but got a vibe that the head didn't like me. I sent her an email the other day (not begging for a job - handing over one of the projects I'd worked on) and her response was colder than the Antarctic. I'm a bit gutted.

Do you think this would mean she'd never hire me, if a job came up? It's a smallish school so she seems to be the one who makes decisions like that.

I'm sure that the school would have a scoring process by which to adhere to when interviewing. Personal opinion surely shouldn't come into it.

Would you want to work under a head like her? She doesn't sound very supportive
