Unisex toilets. Toilet seat left up.

There are only 3 staff toilets at my 2 form entry school. They are unisex.
I have been spoilt by a husband who has always put both seat and lid down (great training, MIL!) and am disappointed to continually find the seats left up in the loos.
I don't go to the loo often at work- it's a luxury to have the time to piss. When I do find time to have a sit down and release the half drunk coffee and sip of water from my bursting bladder, I want it to be a pleasant experience.
These male teachers swan out of the loo in front of me, leaving that seat up, smiling at me. How dare you, sir, smile at me, when you are simultaneously inviting me to touch a public toilet seat?
Why am I posting? I'm looking for solutions, or an alternative view point to settle my loo related annoyance. I also just wanted to vent a bit.

I would say ' eh excuse me you've left the seat up '
Seat down is basic manners.

Sorry, OP - didn't mean to sound a bit snippy there. You are taking all the responses on board and in very good part!

@PunkrockerGirl59 that's ok! My first post was incredibly snippy and intolerant.
Will definitely see this all in a different way from now on. I feel bad for thinking about my lovely male colleagues in such a mean way! They have to touch the seat every time they pee.

My dh always leaves the seat up and I blamed him entirely when my phone fell out of my pocket straight into the gaping open bowl and drowned. Grin

Jeez, are people seriously worried about touching a public loo seat? What on earth do you think is going to happen to you if you inadvertently touch a molecule of someone else's piss????

mineofuselessinformation · 15/10/2018 22:01

A total non-issue for me, sorry.
