Have landed my dream job for September, Learning Support Assistant at DS's secondary school, which he is also starting in September, so big "first day" for both of us!

Feeling excited but really apprehensive. Will be my first near-on full time job in 10 years.

Anyone else have the same job? What can I expect? Am I, as many have told me, completely mad?!

you'll be extremely busy, you'll get very good at thinking outside of the box and you will tear your hair out on occasion, you'll be exhausted for the first few weeks but you will get used to all of that and you'll be doing one of the most rewarding jobs that there is as long as you aren't expecting to earn ££££.

and yes you are completely mad but it's worth it

Worked in a preschool for four years so am used to being exhausted and poor!

Am really looking forward to the challenge part of it. Just hoping I'm not getting out of my depth. Thankfully it is also the school that I used to go to, so I know my way around and it feels very familiar to me, I'll also be working alongside a friend. But for now I shall enjoy the next four weeks of relaxing!
