Texting parents.

I receive about 4 texts a week from DD school, each time from a different number.

I have just looked through my inbox, to delete old messages & have at least 30 texts from school, from 30 different mobile numbers.

Is this intentional, so we dont text back/ring them?

I wondered if you may be able to shed some light please?

My school have used a texting service for about 3 years which always used to give the school's name and appear to come from one number no matter which laptop/computer/device it was sent from. About 6 months ago, the company added a 'security feature' which puta a header and a verification code on each message but which also means they all seem to come from different random numbers. We hate the upgrade! Our parents liked the fact that they could keep a school thread of messages too.
Apparently it's to do with GDPR (!) and security and is supposedly better than before....
Nothing to do with preventing you calling back - the old system didn't accept incoming calls either - but I get your school don't like it any more than us.

Thank you,

I started to save the numbers in my contacts yesterday 'school 1' 'school 2' etc, then I realised there were actually at least 30 different numbers, its crazy!
