Please help me choose a gift for an amazing teacher

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find anything. Basically I'm wondering if there are any teachers on here who can advise me on what gifts teachers actually like receiving? I'm aware they probably appreciate all gifts but I really want to buy my son's teacher something she will like.

My son couldn't read or write, had zero confidence or friends when he first went into her class. He now can read age appropriate books, write simple sentences and his confidence has grown and he's socialising. She really has made a big difference and I want her to know that. Thanks

What you have said here, in a lovely card plus a copy of it to the headteacher.
If you do want to spend money give the teacher an Amazon voucher so that they can spend it on almost anything.

Waterstones voucher? Or a voucher for an afternoon tea? But really a card to her and the HT would be wonderful.

A letter to the Head, praising the teacher and explaining the impact the teacher made in your child’s life.
Also perhaps a lovely indoor plant that will be a little reminder of your son.

Nice words in a card, in the past I have given are voucher for nice coffee shop, notebook from paperchase, or even wine and choc.
Nothing that is clutter or too cheesy.

Oh god no do NOT do the plant thing. The guilt when they inevitably died was dreadful (I only need to look at a houseplant for them to become suicidal... I'm fucking good with growing tomatoes though)! Then you have to live with the scars that you basically killed Kenny in plant format.
