Does anyone have any nice ideas for things to help the transition from reception to year 1? Some link over the summer maybe?

Thanks in advance.

Just try to recap the key things learned / used in Reception year, if possible, in a fun way. So lots of counting of real life objects, counting in twos, counting backwards, dividing physical things into halves, thirds and quarters, fun activities for fine motor skills, as well as drawing, listening to stories, and just maintaining / fostering enthusiasm for the world around us - talking about what you can see, hear, etc. and enjoying exploring new places or doing new things like baking.

Reception children have learned a huge amount in the past school year and mostly need time to relax and recharge, as well as developing physical strength / abilities and deal with social situations through play.
