Unpaid leave

Can anyone help me with how unpaid leave is calculated?

I had to take two unpaid days off recently ~bloody chickenpox~.

May’s pay slip says ‘unpaid leave 365ths’ with a fairly small deduction.

June’s pay slip says ‘unpaid leave cash’ with a much larger deduction.

I work 3 days a week, obviously I will ask HR tomorrow but I’m panicking tonight as it seems like an awful lot to deduct for just two days’ leave (I wasn’t sure whether to put the figures or not? The first is 2 digit second is 3).

Thanks.

Not 100% sure but I would expect 1/195th to be taken off for each day of unpaid leave. So divide your salary by 195 and multiply by the 2 days unpaid.
