How do you convert active primary to smart notebook?

Yes you can , but it depends what version of active you have. There is a possibility to "export" from active inspire to smart.
If you open a n active flip chart and click on file there should be an "export" option
if you only have the personal edition you won 't have the option
I've ended up cutting and pasting - using the snip tool works too

I would just use the snipping tool to copy whole pages in to the active inspire flipchart
