Not entirely convinced we'll make it with lives and sanity intact.

Aragog · 17/05/2018 20:38

Looking forward to it - both work wise and home wise. Work - work in a school and for some reason this term feels long, even though its only 6 weeks. Home - a week's break from the GCSE exam stress, though there will still be revision but DD will be down to just 5 exams remaining by then.

We have a night away in London arranged, with afternoon tea booked in London too, to celebrate the effort DD has put into revision and study this past few months.

I've been counting down the days since the beginning of this half term, really struggling at the moment and a weeks break can't come soon enough.

TiredAndStressedOut · 17/05/2018 21:02

6 more get ups. The end is in sight!

PumpkinPie2016 · 18/05/2018 19:32

Right there counting down with you!

For various reasons, tho half term has been hideously stressful so I am looking forward to a break for a week.

Hoping next ham term will be a bit easier!

elephantoverthehill · 18/05/2018 19:40

It can't come soon enough for me. Let's hope for some really good weather. I've not much planned except getting my hair cut, eyebrows done, visiting Dm, getting Dd her first pair of pointe shoes and catching up with friends but I want to spend time in the garden and on the plot pottering and lying in the sunshine reading snoozing.

MelanieSmooter · 18/05/2018 21:07

Yes please, I’m leaving at half term! Freedom!!! 🙌🏻

Littlewhistle · 18/05/2018 21:11

Lucky you - no half term where we are in Scotland. Eleven weeks straight with only May day for relief. Still, we get to finish on June 39th Grin

BettyBettyBetty · 18/05/2018 23:43

One week to go, sorry LittleWhistle!

It's needed. It is DRAGGING.

user1359 · 19/05/2018 06:39

Whistle that's early we finish 4th July but do have half term

PumpkinPie2016 · 19/05/2018 10:44

We do have 7 long weeks until summer though when we go back!

I am hoping that it won't drag too much!

BlessYourCottonSocks · 19/05/2018 20:58

Oh God. I'm so desperate for half term. A Level and new GCSE-ers are driving me crackers!

:)

missyB1 · 19/05/2018 21:05

Only been in the job since the beginning of this term and I’m knackered! Enjoying it but need to build my stamina I think! Thank God for half term I might have to sleep for the whole week Grin

MongerTruffle · 19/05/2018 21:06

We finish on 24 July!

BossWitch · 19/05/2018 21:08

Can't. Fucking. Wait. 1 week!!

Plus - even more exciting - after that, just one more half term til I am OUTTA THERE!

mnahmnah · 19/05/2018 21:11

Oh god I need it so much!!!

missyB1 · 19/05/2018 21:29

We are only back for 4 weeks and break up 29 June

thefishwhocouldwish · 19/05/2018 23:25

I'm really looking forward to it - haven't seen DH since 7 April and I'll see him again at Dubai airport on 29 May. We also celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary on 2 June before I come home on the 3rd.

One more half term, a lot of packing/sorting/recycling/selling and I'll be out there too and starting a new job in an international school. Thanks to this job I can't even go out there for a long weekend and he can't come home as he's can't take annual leave until August (bit late by then!)

PumpkinPie2016 · 25/05/2018 16:22

And I've made it! Finally finished and at home for the half term!

Y11 have finished today for exam leave thank goodness!

I am exhausts though!
