Eeek. I presume you've spoken with the union and checked that the school has acted legally?

It needn't be the end of your career though, surely? Get better. Find a new job (I know it's not quite that simple, but I'm pretty sure that 'couldn't complete probationary period due to ill health' would suffice on future applications)

Hope you're okay Flowers

Is that legal?

wishingitwasfriday · 03/05/2018 22:04

How long have you been off sick? What process have they followed?

elephantoverthehill · 03/05/2018 22:08

What sort of probationary period? It sounds harsh to me.

millimat · 03/05/2018 22:17

I've just read from another post how they've done that. Surely there had to be warning though?

onanotherday · 03/05/2018 22:26

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately as it's an Academy it is legal...warning to read detail of contracts!
Had it been LEA I would be protected.
Will be taking to appeal but doubt much can come of it.Hmm
