DD1 and I were at the theatre last night (The Grinning Man, and it was excellent btw). We were surrounded by a group of teenagers who were, according to DD, on a GCSE drama trip. Much discussion with their teacher in the interval about set design, physical theatre etc.

We were so impressed by
a) the students - a lovely lot it seemed
and most importantly
b) the teacher. This young woman was fairly heavily pregnant - about 6 months at a guess - and the seats were not particularly comfortable for someone in this condition! In addition to that, yesterday was either the last day of term or during the holidays for every school I can think of, and there she was, taking a group to the theatre. She has our total respect, and deserves FlowersFlowersFlowers and a standing ovation!

If you know what school it was, please do let the Headteacher know - they will be delighted!

How lovley to have a positive teens (and praising a teacher) thread Smile

Yes, if you did know the school it would be lovely to let them know (or just put a post on a local FB group - ours has a 'Shout out the Positive' drive.

This is so lovely. I second the suggestion of letting the school know. They will be absolutely thrilled.
