I am sooooo stressed

Massive massive workload of A Level and AS mocks and 3 year groups of school reports all hitting these first two weeks of term. Worrying about not doing a good enough job at it is making me unproductive. I have no life outside of work during term time and I really resent it.

So much to do and I haven't even thought about the lessons to teach tomorrow.

Rant rant.

Me too. Just finished work for the night and can’t sleep straight away so mumsnetting. I commiserate. I’ve just gone from 0.6 to nearly full time again. Knew it would be tough but it’s still a shock. Have gone from just about having a weekend to not really having one. Is it worth the extra money? Maybe not...my kids aren’t impressed.

Hope you get through all your work in time. Remember that the world won’t end if you don’t and you can only do your best. It’s only 4 weeks and 4 days until the holidays...

I don't understand a school that ahs three sets of reports ongoing at the same time. That's bizarre... hasn't that ever been discussed in your school!? Ours are s[read more or less evenly throughout the year.

Once again, I am here at my desk about to start marking. After a full day at school, just had supper and put children to bed.

Have already had a report sent back with a typo in it (accidentally used we're rather than we are)

I am so miserable. But love the holidays

Can the proof-reader not make the corrections?

We employ proof readers at our school: this can be a double edged sword as people don't learn the mistakes they make, so keep repeating them!

Nonetheless, if someone is checking reports and it isn't a major error, I don't see why the correction needs to be sent back? This creates work for two people!

The we're / we are thing is a question of style... you were modelling correct use of the apostrophe Smile

They are sent back so that we learn from mistakes! A sort of bizarre and twisted CPD
