Anyone taught in both primary and secondary? I’m qualified upper Primary and taught for 6 years. Took a career break and have been working as support staff in high school. High school now want me to teach a few classes (on teacher’s wage for those hours) in my degree specialism. I’m ready to dip my toe back in with the teaching but these are the big kids! I’m so used to little ones! What if they eat me alive?! I was always strong with behaviour management in primary school but I will have nightmares about teaching year 10!
It’s either this or leave and start again in primary...where the marking is ridiculous...and the planning too!
Anyone got any words of advice? Haven’t accepted the offer yet!
