Is it just me?

Sorry, it's me again having a moan. Does anybody else get totally fed up when you return after illness to discover your classroom in tatters? Left everything organised, plans written up and everything photocopied and ready to go. I return to find nothing tidied, papers everywhere, plans completely ignored, jotters unmarked, work not done and not so much as a post it to say what has actually been done. Now I'm having to spend time this week trying to work out what has been done and marking work that has been left half done. Basically going to waste a week sorting this mess out. I just find it disgraceful that these people get away with this and I'm just supposed to accept it. Thank you. Rant over.

I'd complain. I did supply for several years and I ALWAYS marked everything and left classrooms cleaner than I found them. I also left detailed notes about each pupil if I was there for a few days.

Sorry, I didn't mean supply in general. These are teachers based in the school. I meant a general some people just seem to get away with doing things like this and others are left to pick up the pieces. Didn't mean to annoy anyone. I am just so exhausted, still unwell but went back because we are so short staffed and wish I hadn't bothered.

Are they cover supervisors?

That’s dreadful-I’d go and talk to them about what’s happened or straight to your head if department depending on what you think is best.
