Resigning whilst on maternity leave

For many reasons, I don't want to return to teaching. Not even for 13 weeks, so my intention is to resign.
Just wondered if anyone else has done this? Did you have to pay back the additional maternitynpay? Did you get a good reference?
I feel like a massive weight has been lifted, now I've made the decision.

You will have to pay back the enhanced payment if maternity leave.

You will have to pay back the enhanced pay. I know someone who did this and was able to pay back in installments.

You will have to pay back the enhanced maternity pay, and the usual resignation dates apply: 28th Feb to leave 30th April, 31st May to leave 31st August and 31st October to leave 31st December.
