Year 5 help

Just been to my Y5 son's parent's evening. He is finding literacy a bit of a challenge and some aspects of maths although this is stronger. Just been looking at some of the Y5 home study books and wondered if any upper KS2 teachers could advise if any of these are useful, just for a bit of extra practise. Maybe the CGP ones? Thank you

I use CGP products with my Year 6 class so yes, I think they are a good source of practice in Maths - Arithmetic and Reasoning; or English - Reading Comprehension, or Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. There are other brands available which may be equally as useful - I've heard Tescos do something which may be cheaper?

I like the 'Achieve 100' books.
