Applying for job on maternity leave

This is a bit premature at the moment however I am wondering if I can apply for a job in a different school if I am on maternity leave? Thinking on relocating after I go back to work but just wondering if this is possible. I know I would have to work there for a certain amount of time so I don't have to pay back for my maternity pay.

I did! Worked out well-didn’t get enhanced pay so nothing to pay off-just never went back.

I did. Stayed in same LA so didn’t have to pay back my mat pay.
