STEP and Maths at university

Hi all,

Just trying to make sure as many people as possible know about the STEP support programme run by the University of Cambridge (which is all completely freely available...) This has been designed to help students whose schools cannot provide much support for them in preparing for these exams.

STEP is a series of papers which are much harder than A-levels and have been part of Cambridge Maths offers for years, but quite a few other universities will give reduced A-level offers if a student gets a certain grade in STEP (e.g. Warwick, Bath, Lancaster ...). This could be potentially useful for a very good Mathematician who is uncertain of getting a grade A in their third A-level.

Please send anyone interested to www.maths.org/step!
