Hi everyone,
I'm not a teacher so hope it's ok to post here. My DC have had a new HT since Christmas. She's already made some positive changes which I've been really pleased with and has had a good ofsted report and improvement in KS2 SATS - obviously I recognise those are due to many factors.
The previous HT left under a cloud following a bad ofsted report so it was a bit worrying.
I would like to contact HT just to say how pleased I am with her changes and congratulate her for the
Improvements. Would that be ok? I don't want to seem patronising but I always try to praise people.
Of course, I'll be writing praises to my DC's teacher and TA.
Thanks for your opinions.

I think it would be enormously appreciated. A card to staff is always read out in briefing at my school Smile

Do it!

I think that sounds like a lovely thing to do! So often people only speak up to complain!

Thank you all. I will do it this weekend when I'm making the DC do their cards.

Absolutely. People are always so quick to complain and it's rare to get a letter of appreciation.
