Quelle, as you say, surprise Angry

Mind you, if we had been given a pay rise, our school couldn't have afforded it due to no extra coming into the budget to accommodate for it. They're desperately hoping one of us expensive M6 teachers will bugger off so they can employ an NQT...best be on capability guard Sad

True. Our school is the same. Deputy head teaching full time, Senco down to 1 day, all PPA covered by TAs, ban on supplies-classes will be split or covered by a TA if there's staff absences, no children with statements/EHC seem to have their quota of support. It's really crap.

Surely it can't carry on like this!?

Our school will struggle just with the 1% increase. Budgets are impossibly tight and there won't be a funding increase to pay for it. Sad

We are very unhappy, but we're all just accepting it, aren't we? We need to take collective action. We need to strike. Otherwise we just keep on moaning and the workload keeps increasing and the pay keeps shrinking. It's not good enough
