Tracking progress

Hi! Currently after some advice on tracking development for SEN children during the eyfs. I currently work 1-1 with a child with Down syndrome and use a development matters spreadsheet to track their development and have been given the early help booklet for my county but I don't feel this helps me in planning for the child's next steps and it certainly does not recognize those little development milestones which are huge to these SEN children. Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance!

Have you had a look at bsquared? It breaks down the eyfs and p levels into very small steps, and allows you to track the progress the child makes, and provides guidance for next steps. We use it in our special school from nursery through to year 11, at the end of eyfs we move over to the p levels. There is a cost, although I am not sure how expensive it is for just one pupil

Thank you :) Sadly i don't have the school backing to pay for things - and I'm paying for enough resources as it is at the moment and can't justify spending any more of my small salary on anything that school should be paying for. School want me to use early support guidance however this is from 2015 and it isn't useful at all!
