I have been teaching 11 years and was a deputy head at my old school. Loved it but left to have my little boy and loved house making a return to work - well that job in particular - impossible.
He's now 15 months and I'm looking around for part time work. There's isn't much around. Certainly nothing SLT wise and I don't want to take 5 steps backward in my career if I'm honest.
I'm thinking of doing something totally different but what?! What on earth does a teacher do when they are no longer teaching????
Anyone left the profession and found a career somewhere else? I do want a career not just a 'job' and I love education I'm just not at all sure I want to return...
