TA maternity leave

Hi all, wondered if anyone can help. Am 10 weeks pregnant and am dreading telling my head....

Have just been on a lot of training in the last couple of months and I know that from September I am expected to step up and let them see a return in their 'investment'.

I have no idea what will happen once I break the news, but I am really worried! I know I'll have to be braver and tell them before the end of term (if not before... am running out of clothes which hide my bloat bump).

Would be interesting if any other TAs have gone on maternity leave? Did they get maternity cover in for you?

We always get cover in for maternity. Just be up front. You don't have to say what your plans are for coming back but if you are planning to return, full or part time, it might help to mention it. I've had six staff on maternity this year...it's life!

I remember telling my head I was pregnant. Dreaded it for weeks. It was fine. Although if I had to do it again I'd do it by email
