God the content of the new GCSE specs are demanding! A lot of it boring. I teach a non core Arts subject and even our is now very highbrow and had lots of extended writing. I teach at an Outstanding rural school and am seeing an esculation in dissaffected kids! Providing a more rigourous curriculum is great for the top end. But what about the kids who truly can not access it!?
I feel the lack of practical and vocational lessons along with a narrower curriculum is going to create a lot of behavioural issues in school. Is it the same in other school?
