How long do I have to wait?

Hi had my interview today. I was the last to be interviewed and I left the school at 1pm. The Head said he would contact me later today but I've still heard nothing :(. I'm going crazy not knowing. Is it too late for a phone call now?

Hello. Try not to worry. There could be a number of reasons why the Head has not called yet. Some schools are very slick about getting back because they recognise that waiting is stressful. Try not to replay the day either!

Sorry,the next sentence disappeared- but other schools can take days. Perhaps they need to consult governing body?

Smiling no only that I was up against an 'outstanding' candidate and I was their second choice out of the 4 of us (can't help but think the other 3 got told that too!!!!) x
