Interview with presentation and 'in-tray exercise'. What should I expect?

I've got an interview on Monday and have found it that there'll be an in-tray exercise and presentation, as well as the usual lesson observation and interview (if I survive the morning cull).

But what are they? I've never come across Southery of these at interview before? It's just a classroom teacher post without extra responsibility.

An intray exercise is looking how you prioritise. Plenty of examples online if you Google.

You know what a presentation is surely?

I had an in tray exercise for assistant head job, there were several scenarios eg a fox has pooed on playground, a parent is kicking off at reception about something, teacher has run out of class being sick. Etc etc and you have to prioritise the order that you deal with them. Afterwards in my interview we then discussed my answers and I explained my reasoning. NOTE to self, delegate where possible and always prioritise children's safety x

Have they given you a focus for the presentation? X

Good Luck Flowers
Good examples for in tray exercises on TES Community.

Thanks. I'll look on TES. Yes! I know what a presentation is but I've never had to do one in a teaching interview. They haven't given me the details yet so I was hoping that someone might have had some experience of the kind of topics that might come up. I'm just being impatient but I guess they'll let me know by tomorrow.

At our school the in-tray exercises vary depending on the role and department. I'm a HOD and last time we interviewed I asked the candidates to mark an A Level essay and give feedback on it.
