Clothes for school?

Hi!
Im starting my placement in a weeks time and I desperately need some clothes! I'm really struggling to find nice tops! What do you wear and where did you get it from? Any links would be so helpful! One less Thing for me to stress over!

But in all seriousness stretchy tops that feel comfortable for getting sweaty in during pe, layers for playground duty/ outside activities , it also gets very hot in the classroom so you'll need to delayer

I live in pretty dresses and leggings / tights. New Look and Dorothy Perkins do some nice bits.

I tend to be a dresses and leggings/ skirts and cardis wearing teacher in the autumn/ winter. Dresses from Dorothy Perkins mostly.

Are you primary or secondary?

I'm secondary and leggings and long tee shirts wouldn't be acceptable...

Secondary women tend to wear tailored trousers/skirt and blouse/top and cardi (next, TU, Dorothy Perkins seem popular at ours). Pretty dresses and tights are acceptable if not too short. Also, if the school has a sixth form don't buy them from new look etc. As I can garubtees your students will have the exact same one.

Most of my stuff is next or debenhams. I favour the tailored look though.

Sorry I should of said, I'm doing primary! I think for this placement I am in year 2! Also hair, I've always struggled with hair as I just feel my hair doesn't look professional when it's tied up, it's about boob level, having it cut this weekend though! How do you have your hair also?

Would year two still be getting down on knees a lot, or more standing and just normal moving around? What do you feel comfortable in? What do other teachers wear?

My last school was very corporate business wear (pencil skirts, shirts, cardigans or jackets) whereas my current school is more casual.

I remember being a broke trainee teacher and decking out my wardrobe from Primark!

I tend to wear tops form oasis. They are pretty but loose abd cover you up iyswim

Or long and fine cardigans over patterned tops - I get very warm at school

Yeah, year 2 can still be a bit of crawling around but not as much! Haven't been to this school yet, my last place I was in for experience was really dressy as in heels and pencil skirts which I dont think I would feel comfortable in! But the school before that was more relaxed and not as dressy so I am just wanting to get a few smart pieces for my first few days then I can adjust depending on what they are wearing!

I'm super scared about it all!

My work wardrobe is mostly from Asda, Dorothy Perkins and matalan. Nothing too expensive, mostly dresses, leggings and tights so I don't have to think about what top to wear with trousers. I always look for things that won't need ironing as I just haven't got the time (and I hate it!)
Nearly always wear my hair up. Only have to wash it every other day then and to prevent any headlice finding their way in.

Stretchy pencil dresses might be a good compromise? And heels but ballet pumps with you?

White stuff, Cath Kidston, H&M, dare I say Boden seem to kit my staff team out!
