Advice please

I am an NQT and have registered with an agency. They called me today and asked me to visit a school on Thursday to potentially team teach Year 6 for a term.

All I have been asked to do is provide "a SPAG lesson for twenty minutes" now I know I'm not expected to work wonders but what sort of things would you suggest I do? I was considering a review of the correct usage of the apostrophe with five minutes at the end for children to indicate how they would put an apostrophe, why the apostrophe in a statement is incorrect etc.

What are your thoughts on something like that?

Sounds fine to me, but I'd spend longer on the kids doing it themselves, or else it's 75% teacher-led. Maybe a few multiple choice questions then writing their own sentences?

Make sure you're not telling them something they already know.

If it's Y6 SpaG then they want some indication that you can prepare these kids for their SATs, so tailor your questions towards that style.

Cheers, I looked at the paper from May and there is one specific question. I was intending to make this question my last of the session to indicate where they were at in comparison to where they will need to be.
The problem with wanting to work with year six is that in theory they should have been taught most things and you are consolidating (I know this is only the theory and not the fact of it)

Maybe you could start with a bunch of sentences which are missing the apostrophe for various reasons on the board and ask them to tell you what's wrong with all of them? Then they attempt to correct them themselves, then you go through the answers and reinforce the different rules, then end up with your SATs question?
I'd make one of the sentences fine too, no apostrophe needed in 'its'. See if they can spot it, or whether they mindlessly put one in, 'because that's the exercise'

There's quite a cool PowerPoint that has real life examples of where apostrophes have been used incorrectly (on sign posts etc.). I've used it with end of Year 5's where they have to spot the mistake and explain why... (Think it's on TES but if you like the sound of it and can't find it then I should have it somewhere)

That is not the case. There is masses of new material in the Y6 curriculum.

You could do some discussion/ writing in the subjunctive form. Mine enjoyed pretending to sound a bit posh!!
