I've just applied to be an associate teacher with a view to teaching through Schools Direct the following year. I'm a TA at the moment but not in Secondary school where the new role is and the specialism I think is do able but so out of my comfort zone but its a subject where there is a shortage.
I'm assuming I won't be thrust into the A- level groups assisting them as my subject knowledge is limited at the moment and I'll need to do the subject refresher but has anyone experience of doing this role and is it slightly more than a TA role within the department?
