Professional Standards for TAs finally published

Was originally being done by the DfE but they decided not to publish. Then the NAHT and a couple of other unions and groups took them over, and after all the delays they are published.

"The TA standards are non-mandatory and non-statutory, and sit alongside the statutory standards for teachers."

It all looks very sensible - what might change for schools, pupils, teachers & TAs? I'd like to think that this is already how TAs work and are supported, but I guess that might be rather naïve.
