You know, the ones you have a good relationship with, not talking about berating some sensitive y7.

What, in mock exasperation, would you call a pupil who had e.g got a fiendishly difficult differential equation question wrong and you'd just spotted it was because they'd written 1x1=2?

Rowanhart · 25/05/2016 23:28

ConkerTriumphant · 25/05/2016 23:31

Doughnut

blueemerald · 25/05/2016 23:34

Lemon. Wally. Muppet if I have a very good relationship with them.
Also tend to go for nonsense food themed names, not sure why. Rhubarb, satsuma, cauliflower.... Quite odd now I think about it.

elephantoverthehill · 25/05/2016 23:34

Twat would certainly not be ok! I use twit or numpty.

Wolfiefan · 25/05/2016 23:36

NOT twat. Means cunt here.
Or plonker. Means wanker!

amysmummy12345 · 25/05/2016 23:37

Silly sausage?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/05/2016 23:37

RattusRattus · 25/05/2016 23:42

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 25/05/2016 23:44

Daft thing, twerp.

Wolfiefan · 25/05/2016 23:44

Surely it's better to point out what they did was daft rather than call them a name?

JeanSeberg · 25/05/2016 23:46

How about not calling them anything?

Sultanashirls · 25/05/2016 23:48

Bloody hell, you want to call them a name?

MangoMoon · 25/05/2016 23:48

Dingbat?

blueemerald · 25/05/2016 23:49

Hmm Heaven forbid we have a joke with the young people we spend 7 hours a day with. Reactions like that are one of the reasons I chose to work with children/teenagers and not adults.

elephantoverthehill · 25/05/2016 23:49

Yes as teachers we say 'why are you being a numpty today?' We do not call students names, but sometimes we add a little levity.
