Funding question

I am a TA in a mainstream primary and have been working 1:1 with a child who has an EHCP for a few years. The school receives funding (because of the EHCP) to employ me etc. My contract is ending soon and I am not being replaced..therefore the child will have no 1:1 (but I'm assuming the school will still receive the funding?!) is this allowed? Surely they are supposed to spend it on support for this child only and nothing else? Does anyone know?!

Apologies if I am completely wrong..I don't know much about it! I just don't think it's fair on the child to suddenly have their 1:1 taken away..

It depends on what the EHCP says and how the school interpret/plan to implement the support required. It's not static, the annual review will update what's needed.

In addition to 14 Is there a longer employed TA that is due to loose hours due to a child leaving? If so, perhaps they are being redeployed to your 1:1. Sadly, schools often just don't have the money to hold on to extra staff because they might be useful. Even if they are really good.

Fourcorneredcircle this sounds possible although there aren't any children who currently have 1:1 leaving AFAIK, I guess it could be down to redeployment of staff in general though - I hadn't thought of that! Thank you :)
