The jolly postman year 1

Hi all,

Basically just had a last min phone call from supply agency putting me forward for a observation for a job tomorrow.

I've been asked to plan an English lesson for a year 1 class with no additional needs. I have the book the jolly Christmas postman and wanted to do some letter writing but wondering if anyone has any good ideas what the children can write about or write too? Has anyone done this before? I don't know anything about the class other than I can have a TA if I need one.

Just need some inspiration ASAP! TIA

Only just seen this post, and was about to start saying how my Year 1 child adores the Jolly Postman and would love a letter writing activity!
How did you get on, OP?

It went really well thanks the children really engaged with it and seemed to really enjoy it but unfortunately I lost out to somebody more experienced! Nevermind!
