I posted in the summer asking for experiences of teaching transgender DC. We've been back a week now and not one child has batted an eyelid. We have one transgender DC in yr 7 and one in yr 12. The yr 12 student has just started the process so is being taught with others who knew that student as the opposite gender until 8 weeks ago. I have been very proud of the way it's all been handled and with how the two transgender students have just slotted in. My school sometimes gets a rough deal in our local area but when things like this happen I feel so happy to work there
