Disappointed

I have been volunteering for a couple of years now both in a few schools. I went for a couple of jobs but didn't get either despite good interview feedback but the bottom line was the other candidate had more experience.
I decided the way forward for me was to complete a Level 2 Qualification and go from there as I really thought that was what was holding me back. So I have enrolled on a course to start in a few weeks, got my placement all set up and then out of the blue got a call from the school I previously had an interview at saying there was a job for me there now. I feel really sad but I had to turn it down. I did the right thing didn't I? I feel hugely disappointed but the reality is, if I had accepted the job, then I would have had to let down the school I would have my placement at, plus cancel my course. Just looking for some reassurance that it will all work out. I can't get the what ifs out of my head.

Hi. It will all work out- your course will stand you in good stead in the future for more jobs. And give you more confidence. All will be well!

It will be fine. They will be impressed you are putting yourself through a course I'm sure. It will work out fine. Don't be down.

thank you. I am trying to see the positives. I hate letting people down so I do think deep down that it is the right decision.
