MFL teachers - GCSE textbook

I don't stick religiously to a textbook at all but like to have a base of reading/listening material to use.

Which one are you using for your y9 in September for the new GCSE? The translation element is not worth many points, so not quite the focus needed on it that I had thought. Additional topics seem to be centred around equality. Literary texts will be used, but given the level I can't imagine much more than Le Petit Prince etc. Thoughts?

We're using Allez for French and Zoom for Spanish.

I'm watching with interest. We're just introducing Allez at ks3 and I'm now waiting on an inspection copy of their GCSE course. I'm in Wales though.

I can't seem to find anything being advertised as being written for the new GCSE. It's only in draft form but we are starting to teach it this week (3 year KS4) Confused

Sorry- just seen this! The rep was in with us on Tuesday and did say that the new GCSE one for England was being done and would be out soon. I'm not certain of when as it's not applicable here yet.

Bet they charge a fortune for it.

I don't like the way exam boards recommend certain books either...

I have the same dilemma. Starting next week with five new groups and no books.

I have contacted AQA and was told there wouldn't be any textbooks until spring 2016.

The advisor said they were going to upload more resources by the draft spec link so to keep checking.

She also suggested teachkit which looks good, but there isn't really that much? Has anyone paid for the subscription and is it worth it?
