I've been supply teaching since my NQT and it's been a positive experience for me. However, I am ready to get a permanent post but as a TA, not a teacher (work-life balance and all that's). Unfortunately there don't seem to be many jobs about and the ones I do apply for, I've not had any success with. Do schools not like employing teachers as TAs? I think my applications are strong BTW.
