I have a short notice interview in two days time for a teaching assistant role. I have been asked to bring a story book and teach a 15 minute reading activity with a group of seven mixed ability year twos. Does anyone please have any ideas of good story books to use with year two? If it was a guided reading session, I would feel a lot more confident in planning a session. I don't want to use something too young but wouldn't have time to use Roald Dahl type stories in any depth. I'm not sure how to bring the children's reading skills into focus if I am only supposed to use one copy of a story.
