In tray exercises

I have an interview for a dream job as PT SENCO. One of the elements is an In tray exercise - I have never done anything like this before; I know this will require me to prioritise certain tasks but that's about it. Is there anyway I can prepare for this and does anyone have any advice?

That link is really interesting!

ladygracie · 14/04/2015 20:11

It really was. But what is the correct order? Was the answer there & I missed it?

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 20:21

l THERE WAS loads you could delegate on that IMO
Child protection is first..
Secretary to do funeral and MIddle management to meet parents of fighters

No 6 - the ill member of staff is impt and your son so you can concentrate on everythign else.

I've got an interview for a senco job next week. Sorry to hijack, but I would really like to ask you how it went once you've done it. Have you done the national senco award?

peacoat · 19/04/2015 17:12

sj73 I'm a senco.

I was quizzed about the new Code of Practice, what I would do to raise achievement etc. Also a data task, to know what the priorities should be.

I already had the SENCo Award.

It's a good look to ask for the attainment data of the class you will be teaching for interview if they don't already give it to you.

PM me if you want any more information.

Thank you peacoat! Very helpful. I'd love to PM you at some point.
