Hi There - continuing from a previous question, I've found that I could get QTLS (apparently QTS) equivalent over a term at my current sixth form. Does anyone know if QTLS is in practice accepted as an equivalent of QTS?

QTLS isn't the same as QTS but since 2012 it has qualified you to work in schools, rather than just FE. I have hired QTLS trained teachers in the past (secondary English) when I worked in a school with recruitment difficulties. We had to put them through an assessment-only QTS programme.

It's up to the individual school to decide if you're qualicied for a role; in practice, it will likely depend on your subject, and how you compare to other candidates. If yours is a shortage subject, especially STEM, you will likely have no problems.
