any tips/suggestions for the lesson obs and interview??

im so nervous!

Answer the question-don't waffle on.
Know what to do re safeguarding, know what makes a good lesson, know about positive behaviour strategies, know about how to use assessment. Good luck.

Safeguarding including fgm and British Values seem to be the current issues.

what questions would i be asked about assessment? what are they wanting to hear?

Know the answer to the safeguarding question! There is only one but people still say things like "I'd have a word with the colleague". Totally impossible to appoint someone who does not say they would report any concern to the CP lead!

How do you use assessment to inform planning and help the progress of pupils?
Start from AFL strategies in lessons, use of marking, and lead to half termly testing where you identify gaps in the class' knowledge and plan to teach these areas.
