phased return help please

On a phased return after a long term illness. I am just about coping doing the hours I have agreed and my share of the planning and marking for the hours I am doing. Should I be expected to do any of the planning / marking for the hours I am not in school? Any advice?

When I returned after cancer I spent a term on three days a week and the other two days were covered by the supply teacher who had covered me throughout my illness. Whilst we discussed the classes we planned and marked our own lessons.

I'm a union rep and I've helped negotiate phased returns.
What was negotiated in your return to work meeting?
I'm guessing you have a sick note for the time you are not in school? If so, you should not be setting or marking work.

I did submit a note from the doctor supporting a phased return, and my return to work meeting was such that we would agree on a weekly basis due to the nature of my absence and the reasons involved in my return ( not WRS I have to add).

I have to admit that goalposts seem to be moving for various reasons and these are affecting the impact of the phased return on my health which ultimately will either mean a more prolonged gradual return to full time or which I am fearing the doctor signing me off again. I saw the doctor yesterday and he was not happy and warned me that if things are not taken more slowly then he will sign me off again. Reasons affecting the phased return are issues with the long term cover doing what I am not doing thinking because I am back he hasn't got to do stuff and also being in class alone as TA has gone next door or just popped off but been gone for 30 minutes or more when I should not yet be in class on my own just in case. Thankfully it's been alright (just) and because I am just so relieved to be back at work and they have been so supportive I don't want to rock the boat.
