Do you discuss the state of education with your parent friends?

Chatting to our friends yesterday about schools and education. I'm really disillusioned with the system at the moment and am looking to leave but I did feel a bit unprofessional discussing the current state of affairs! She did ask how schools were now as her dd is going in sept. All I could promote was the social side of school life. I hate moaning, but I hate the way teaching is at the moment. I'm also seriously considering home schooling my own!

Yes. In answer to your question. But DS is 18 so all of my friends' children are coming towards the end of their education. A number of them are former parent Governors so they do a pretty good job of understanding what I'm going on about too!
